Buitink Technology has, on behalf of RIVP in Paris, realized an external single layer ETFE foil skin facade for 100 apartments, collected in three buildings. The balconies of those apartments are equipped with sliding facade curtains made of transparent ETFE foil. 

Depending on the circumstances the users can open or close the ETFE curtains. In closed position this second skin gives protection against climate conditions while still 95% of the natural light (including UV light) passes through the ETFE foil.
