Buitink Technology has been assigned by DuoFlora 2012 BV to deliver 16 umbrellas for the entrance area of the Floriade 2012 (Fresh Park plaza).

These giant umbrellas, ranging in height from 9 to 11 meters, offer visitors protection from rain and (excessive) sun. The umbrellas have a diameter of about 6 meters.

Each custom made giant umbrella is composed of a column that is clamped in a foundation, y -shaped brackets and a membrane that is fixed underneath these brackets. Rainwater is collected and drained internally.
