Textile facade cladding shopping center
Buitink Technology engineered and produced textile facade membranes for the iluminated structure of Shopping Centre "De Lely" in Arnhem (The Netherlands). This special light structure enhances the visibility of the Shopping Centre. It can be observed from a large distance now.
In this case the architect chose for a textile facade cladding, as it is a highly translucent material. The material can handle a large column fee span and needs a limited number of welds (the "roll width" of the material is no less than 5 m!).
The circumference of the facade membranes are tensed with stainless steel springs. Led lights illuminate the structure from within, changing colour automatically.
