Light-diffusing ceiling for pleasant light
Buitink Technology realized a light diffusing tensioned ceiling for the big hall of the Meeting Place for the Apostolic Society in Groningen, the Netherlands.
This tensioned ceiling, designed by MK Architects, has a special double curved surface that is obtained by tensioning the fabric in a curved steel tube frame. The fabric is attached to this frame by a simple zipper.
Translucent fabric
A special fabric was chosen for the tensioned ceiling, in order to obtain a subtle illumination of the interior by placing lighting above this translucent fabric.
