ETFE air cushion roof lobby Bisonspoor Maarssen
Buitink Technology realized an ETFE air cushion roof for the new bussiness lobby's dome in shopping centre Bisonspoor in Maarssen. This roof consists of 5 ETFE air cushions, with a total surface area of about 470 m².
Unique ETFE roof design
Its unique design and shape being suggestive of dolfins and whales.

Heat reflecting roof
The roof is consists of 4 layers of ETFE foil (3 air chambers). The outer layer is heat reflecting by using a special IR blocking foil. This foil is light transparent but blocks effectively the heat from sun shine (see below graph ''T IR-cut'').
Below graph shows the relation between Transmission and Wavelength of light for standard foil (''T Standard natural") and IR blocking foil (''T IR-cut'').
