Buitink Technology realized an ETFE air-cushion roof with a sun protective layer for a private house in Lyon (France).

Both upper and lower part of the 3 layers ETFE cushions were printed with golden patterns. Client with Vietnamese background preferred a bright area beneath the roof, giving a "jungle feeling". This effect is reached thanks to light passing though the foils.

To achieve the final pattern, Buitink technology has proposed and designed different patterns from which test samples were made and proposed to the client. Depending on the position of the sun, the quantity of light and the shadow of the pattern in the room changes.
