Buitink TechnologyOn behalf of Highpoint Structures in Bordeaux, Buitink Technology realized and installed four ETFE air cushions for the "Maison commune de l'emploi et de la formation/ L'Arsenal à Tarbes" in Tarbes (France).
The project concerns an ETFE air cushion roof that consists of 4 slightly twisted ETFE cushions of approximately 4 x 20 m each. It results in a total surface of 320 sqm.
The cushions are made of two layers ETFE film; welded parts of transparent and white (translucent) ETFE film. This configuration of alternating transparent and white film prevents direct sunlight entering the space below, but ensures a very translucent and open roof structure.
